First Time For Everything
The phrase “better late than never” comes to mind.
Peeling back the layers of my stubborn self and honestly admitting what I do know, it’s not too much. That’s the basic theme I want portrayed throughout this blog. Take my word for what it’s worth. When I think I have some inkling of what I’m talking about its probably incorrect or someone knows much more than I do. I think that way of thinking is a great revelation to have. It leads me to be more accepting of others opinions and self-aware that I do not have all the answers. (Sometimes I convince myself that I do).
Creating this blog became an internal conflict to the point where I kept putting it off. To lower myself to a vulnerable state, I contemplated not going forward with it because 1) It’s too late to join the blogging party 2) I’m not intelligent enough or the things I may post won’t be as brilliant as a Peter Attia, Gary Vaynerchuck, Jordan Peterson, etc… 3) I don’t want people I know seeing my thoughts on the internet, they might not accept my voice. But that’s the kind of bullshit you say to yourself ormake yourself believe. I admit I’m not as smart as some, however, I think I’m on a slow ascending pace to becoming a more well-balanced individual. Even if it’s the smallest movement forward. Hey, that’s something! I think this form of expressing myself will help in my journey. It’s my quest anyhow and I cannot hold myself back. Originally, I created this blog in 2010 and posted nothing. (I lower my hand and smack my head with my palm) I guess if you allow negative self-talk to filter into your thoughts long enough, it paralyzes you and keeps you from doing things you want. The Mahatma Ghandi’s, Martin Luther King Jr’s, John F Kennedy’s, Albert Einstein’s, Sigmund Freud’s, Anne Frank’s, Mother Theresa’s wouldn’t have become some of the most influential people in history if they would have allowed negativity to alter their minds. I have no intentions or expectations of becoming a Time’s magazine cover of the most influential people in the 21stCentury. I do have aspirations to become an important influence to those close to me – my family and friends. With all this being said this blog will be my quest to becoming a more balanced individual. I will share my experiences with whoever shall wander onto this page. I plan to share my utmost thoughts on nutrition, frugal living, personal growth, and other randomness. I want this to be a place to visit to escape the chaos of life and find balance.
Thank you for visiting my blog and hope you follow me on my quest.
